The self-lift Luo converter that is a series of boost dc-dc converter is analyzed. This converter presented based on voltage-lift (VL) technique. This converter provides suitable voltage gain for lower duty cycle (D) with less electromagnetic (EMI). In this paper, the operating of self-lift Luo converter is analyzed in continuous conduction mode (CCM) and discontinuous conduction mode (DCM). So, the relation of critical inductance is extracted and the switch stresses are analyzed in different operating modes. Finally, the validity of theoretical relations is verified by using simulation results on PSCAD/EMTDC.
