Participation of Russian Teachers in Political and Civil Processes: Main Research Results and Recommendations

The article presents the results of a study of the participation of Russian teachers in political and civil processes Using the methods of focus groups and in-depth interviews, the positions of current teachers and administrative staff of secondary schools located in different federal districts — in administrative centres and localities with different populations-were identifed There was also a study of the activity of teachers in social media The study was conducted on a database of 200 accounts relevant to the topic of work, formed by the method of a continuous sample of research cases, taking into account the choice of “average regions of Russia according to a set of indicators” and quotas for the place of residence and work of teachers The actual low level of teachers’ activity in the public space, revealed in the study, can be partially corrected by measures to reduce workload with work responsibilities in order to form free time, the formation of professional skills, and the formation of professional skills
