The article presents the results of a comparative scientific analysis of the basic con-cepts of the theory of national security, the structure, content and evolution of national interests, strategic national priorities formulated in the National Security Strategies of the Russian Federation and 2015 and 2021, as well as the compliance of the new document with federal legislation. Conclusions are drawn about their scientific nature, accuracy and consistency.
