This study utilized Confucius"s idea of the Book of Wisdom to explore the possibility of coexistence in a multicultural society in order to explore the multicultural phenomenon in contemporary Korean society. Focusing on the Korean and Vietnamese Agijangsu tales, this study examined the problem perception, education status, entry into society, and future challenges in a multicultural society. In particular, the study emphasized the current status and need for multicultural education and the importance of cultural communication for mutual understanding and harmony in a society where diverse cultures coexist. The Korean tale of "Agijangsu" and the Vietnamese tale of "Budongchunwang" can be used as important metaphorical tools for multicultural integration, communication, and personal identity formation. The Korean tale of "Agijangsu" is a symbolic tale of multiculturalism and reflects on multicultural issues in modern society through the symbolic confrontation between the non-mainstream and the mainstream. The Vietnamese tale, on the other hand, shows the successful integration of multicultural characters into society and their social adaptation process. Based on Confucius" idea of Forgiveness, this study examines the attitude of a new humanistic spirit for harmony and coexistence in a multicultural society. Forgiveness is the principle of not doing to others what one does not want to do to oneself, which can be treated as a key concept for respecting and understanding different cultural backgrounds and values in a multicultural society. In addition, through Confucius" concept of "the cultured man is not a tool(εεδΈε¨)", this paper proposes a direction for the inclusive development of society that seeks an inclusive attitude and strategy toward the multicultural second generation. This paper aimed to present a humanistic approach to coexistence and integration in a multicultural society, and analyzed the reality and future of a multicultural society in depth. It also emphasized the importance of humanistic spirit and education for understanding and coexistence in a multicultural society, and sought practical measures for the sustainable development of a multicultural society. Through this study, we aimed to lay an important foundation for a future society in which various cultures coexist harmoniously based on an in-depth understanding of the multicultural phenomenon in modern society.
