The article reveals the peculiarities of training future primary school teachers for innovative activities in the conditions of a higher education institution. Pedagogical innovations require fundamentally new methodical developments, a new quality of pedagogical innovation. The success of innovative activity assumes that the teacher is aware of the practical significance of various innovations in the education system not only on a professional level, but also on a personal level. Innovative activity encourages the teacher to develop creativity, creativity of pedagogical workers, creation and dissemination of novelty, renewal of methods of professional activity, innovative interaction with participants of the educational process, originality of pedagogical thinking and much more. It is the result of the highest degree of creativity and creativity of teachers, which is manifested in the invention of new, original, unconventional. It has been established that the preparation of future primary school teachers for innovative activities is a purposeful process of arming students with theoretical knowledge, forming practical, methodical, technological skills in them, as well as the ability to plan and implement pedagogical innovations aimed at improving the quality of schoolchildren's education. A necessary feature of successful education is the use of innovative teaching methods, the inclusion of the latest scientific knowledge in the educational process, and the application of world-class education quality standards. Effective formation of the readiness of future teachers for innovative activity is facilitated by a specially developed system of educational situations of a creative nature and the main components of creative innovative activity that we have highlighted: creative processing of scientific and pedagogical literature; creative preparation of reports on innovation issues; business games; creative educational tasks; lectures-discussions, lectures-dialogues, press conferences, round tables; conducting experimental research work by students; work in master classes; solving various pedagogical situations; conducting micro-lessons; system of continuous pedagogical practice. The directions of education at the current stage of development include its informatization, therefore it is important to conduct purposeful work on the introduction and use of information and communication technologies in the educational process.
