Abstract: This article examines the main linguistic means preferred by the outstanding American modernist writer of the 20th century, Ernest Hemingway. Special attention is given to the analysis of the stylistic devices he uses and the methods through which these devices are translated into Russian and Uzbek. The article provides numerous examples from the original and translated stories of E. Hemingway into Russian and Uzbek.
