Climate change is directly related to global warming. Such warming is caused by high greenhouse gases emissions into the atmosphere due to anthropogenic activities. Because of this, there is a greater incidence of health problems in the population, not to mention the damage to the environment. There has been increasing debate and discussion about ways to reduce greenhouse gas emissions as a way of mitigating climate change. Given this, information and communication technologies are an important factor that can bring benefits and gains to the reduction and/or monitoring of these gases. Therefore, the current work aimed to identify information and communication technologies (ICTs) for monitoring industrial atmospheric emissions that contribute to the increase in climate change. Regarding the research methodology, it is a applied research, has a qualitative approach and in terms of its objective, it is characterized as exploratory. Regarding the results, it was proven through practical examples in companies that it is possible to use ICTs to minimize and/or mitigate the emission of atmospheric pollutants. Therefore, it is concluded that technologies can combat the causes of climate change within companies and even smart cities.
