The purpose of this article is to draw attention to the problematic issues related to the language situation in our country and to find a solution to this problem. Issues related to the status of the state and official languages always remain topical. We made an attempt to consider the problems arising with the strengthening, development and functioning of the state Kyrgyz language and at the same time the problem of preserving and expanding the Russian-speaking space in Kyrgyzstan. Due to the fact that more than a hundred different nationalities live in Kyrgyzstan, Russian was an international language of communication during the Soviet period and bilingualism was firmly established in the country. However, gradually with the program of introduction and development of the state language, widespread expansion of the boundaries of its application and use, its status changed and it became the language of international communication in the territory of our country. From the changes of public and social orientations we face the problem of disappearance of bilingualism in the country.
