For modern wireless communication 5G mmWave bands are the appropriate candidates to cooperate for the high-speed communication due to low latency, high capacity, wide coverage, high spectral efficiency, and low penetration losses. Also, due to more than 1 GHz bandwidth above 10 GHz frequency spectrum leads to the multiband operation and saving of hardware costs. In this paper a wideband compact MIMO antenna with coplanar waveguide feed and additional partial grounds (to connect the components) is designed for the coverage of complete new radio (NR) bands on the substrate of Rogers RT5880 for 5G mmWave applications. Proposed antenna operates in a wide band of 17.58-29.92 GHz (BW = 12.33 GHz) with respect to 2:1 VSWR. In the complete operating band radiation efficiency is 95.9% - 99.68 % and total efficiency is 86.64% - 94.54%. The gain lies between 4.22-6.16 dBi.
