The article deals with the description of the peripheral zone of pronominal particles. The pronominal particles are considered as hybrid words of pronoun origin: on the one hand, as words having the features of pronouns of different lexical-grammatical classes; on the other hand, as words with a desemantized nature, capable of expressing subjective modality. An attempt is made to distinguish between actual particles and pronominal particles. Examples are presented in which the particle belonging of words cannot be unambiguously determined due to the incomplete transition process. The constructions containing the studied units of hybrid (syncretic) nature are grammatically and semantically analyzed.
