Background. The concept of Zero Waste, based on the idea of minimizing waste and recycling those that are generated, is becoming increasingly popular in the modern world. Purpose. The goal of developing an action algorithm for recycling vegetable and fruit waste is to implement this concept in Russia and transform waste into feed products for productive animals. Materials and methods. The algorithm includes identifying a problematic section of the food chain of a product, assessing the market for waste recycling services, choosing a methodology for determining priority areas for the development of the service market and the range of secondary products, and also forming requirements for a new method of waste recycling. Results. The use of the algorithm made it possible to determine priority areas for the development of the market for food waste processing services and formulate requirements for a new method of waste recycling. Conclusion. The implementation of an action algorithm for recycling vegetable and fruit waste contributes to the transition to a circular economy and reduction of waste, while meeting the needs of livestock farming for feed products.
