The article examines the issues of modern preventive activities of Rostrud, outlines the prospects for its development taking into account the new law on state (municipal) control (supervision), the Concept for improving control (supervisory) activities until 2026 and the Program for the prevention of risks of harm (damage) to legally protected values in the 2024 Examining these standards, as well as emphasizing the importance of a preventive visit as a mandatory preventive measure for the employer, the author proposes to include self-examination among the preventive measures of Rostrud and shows its relationship with the preventive visit. The author shows the prospects for the use of self-examinations by Rostrud (its use by state labor inspectors) and proposes to conduct their rating. Separately, the author considers the issue of measures to stimulate the conscientious legal behavior of employers, the criteria of conscientiousness and their impact on the determination of categories and the formation of the reputation of employers. The importance of maintaining the employer’s digital file and constant monitoring of incoming information is emphasized, as well as the prospects for creating a digital office of the state labor inspector to assess the effectiveness of their work and the targeting of the implementation of preventive and control (supervisory) measures.
