This study brings a reflection on the insertion of ICT in the teaching and learning process, highlighting the presence of technology in the classroom and its contribution in the school context. In this way, we reflect on the use and practice of new technologies by teachers in the face of technological innovations that are frequent in the classroom. The article presents relevant elements for the discussion of the teacher's continuing education as a mediator in the educational process in a society in constant change. It is concluded that the use of technologies in the classroom has become an ally to education when used as a necessary pedagogical tool to mediate the teaching and learning of the student.
