This study aims to formulate a conceptual model for the collaborative development of community-based ecotourism at the Lembanna Tourist Attraction, Gowa Regency, South Sulawesi. To achieve this goal, the researchers analyzed the development of ecotourism and the role of stakeholders in the development of community-based ecotourism. Qualitative research with a verification approach was used to analyze the research problems. Data was collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and literature studies related to the subject being researched. The data analysis technique employed was qualitative thematic analysis. The participants involved in this research were local communities, regional governments, and tourists. The results of the study show that the Lembanna Tourist Attraction is in the involvement phase of the Tourism Area Life Cycle (TALC) (Butler, 1980) with attitudes towards development being at an apathy level, referring to the Irridex (Doxey, 1975). Due to the rise in economic income, the community has a positive outlook on the current development, although they are also concerned about potential environmental damage and social disruption. This development condition must be optimally addressed by stakeholders in the development of ecotourism at the Lembanna Tourist Attraction. Stakeholders in planning and benefit distribution have been identified for their involvement.
