The research aims to describe the effect of the 5E learning cycle model on the science literacy skills of middle school students. A quantitative pre-experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design was used in this study. Data analysis was carried out using inferential statistics, namely the N-gain test and one-way ANOVA. The results showed that the N-gain value was 0.6, which falls into the moderate category. The ANOVA test showed a result of 0.126 > 0.05. The analysis of science literacy indicators showed that 70% of students achieved a good category in the science inquiry indicator, 56% achieved a fairly good category in the problem-solving indicator, and 43% achieved a fairly good category in the scientific reasoning indicator. These results concluded that the 5E learning cycle model has a significant impact on the science literacy skills of middle school students.
