This study aims to comprehensively analyze the impact of traditional games on students' learning through meta-analysis research. Amid globalization, education faces great challenges in maintaining local cultural values that are increasingly marginalized. Traditional games, an important part of cultural heritage, not only entertain but can potentially develop learners' cognitive, social, and emotional skills. However, research on the precise impacts of traditional games on students' academic performance and learning abilities is scarce. This review gathers and examines earlier research findings through effect size estimates to assess how well conventional games enhance students' learning in formal educational settings. Twenty papers from both domestic and foreign journals provided research data. According to the analysis, traditional games greatly boosted students' academic performance and general skill development, as evidenced by the impact size 1.351. The study's conclusions highlight how crucial it is to incorporate regional cultural components—like traditional games—into the curriculum to achieve learning goals and uphold cultural values. This study is anticipated to give educators and policymakers a solid scientific foundation to base their consideration of culture-based approaches to raising student learning standards.
