This research is driven by the drastic decline in the quality of education in Indonesia and the complexity of educational institutions in implementing the right education model due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. Various educational institutions, ranging from elementary to tertiary levels, are looking for the right model so that the quality of education is maintained during the Covid-19 Pandemic, despite the majority remain to consider it less than optimal. The focus of the study in this study is to address how the model of education and strengthening of spiritual values is applied at the Al Fithrah Islamic Boarding School in Surabaya during the Covid-19 Pandemic and how the results of the educational model are and how far spiritual values are fostered in the santri (Islamic student) at the Al Fithrah Islamic Boarding School. The method utilized in this study uses a phenomenological study in which uses ustadz (Islamic teacher) and the students at the Al Fithrah Islamic boarding School Surabaya as the main object of research. The findings of this study are the education model applied in three cycles. In the first cycle, at the beginning of the pandemic, the pesantren practiced a full distance learning model or online, whereas all students and ustadz were learning from their homes so that the results of education and inculcating spiritual values were critically declining. In the second cycle, they implemented semi-online learning in which the students have returned to the pesantren and entered their respective classes during learning activity all the students, while some of the ustadz taught from home and some from the pesantren but in a particular room (not in the same room between the ustadz and the students). In the third cycle, all students who stay in boarding and ustadz who have received the Covid-19 vaccination study in the same room, but students who commuters remain study from their home and continue the online-based learning.
