The study aims to investigate the evolution of a Romanian ethnic community in the first half of the 20th century. The motivation is to examine the change underwent by a large part of this community as a result of the Romanian propaganda among the Aromanians, which started with the emergence of the Romanian National State, which was followed by the establishment of the communist regime in Romania. The article is an overview of the studies and articles written especially after the fall of the communist regime when the research of the Aromanians became and continues to be fashionable, including from the sociological point of view.
