The article considers the key aspects of investment policy in the agro-industrial complex of Russia aimed at sustainable development of rural areas until 2030 and in the long term. Special attention is paid to the necessity of transition from point investments to comprehensive modernization, taking into account socio-economic and environmental factors. Current trends in agriculture are analyzed, including the introduction of innovative technologies, the development of processing industry and measures of state support, such as preferential lending and concession mechanisms. Using the example of the Republic of Tatarstan as an example, the article reveals the regional peculiarities of agrarian strategy implementation, including technological modernization, human resources policy and creation of deep processing clusters. The importance of a balanced approach that combines economic efficiency with social sustainability of rural areas is emphasized.
