This article examines the political features of the emergence of a Russian centralized state in the historical arena. During the formation of the centralized state, there was a tendency to formalize the legal tradition, which was reflected in the Judicial Code of 1497. Internecine wars and the feudalization of social relations accompanied the formation of the Russian centralized state.
