This article provides a detailed analysis of the active pharmaceutical substances (APS) market in the Russian Federation for the period from 2014 to 2024. The study examines key trends in the development of this segment of the pharmaceutical industry, as well as identifies the main problems and challenges faced by the production of active components of medicines in the country. Special attention is paid to the analysis of factors influencing the dynamics of the APS market, such as technological features of production, the level of import substitution, the regulatory framework, as well as economic conditions. The article highlights in detail the difficulties associated with ensuring product quality, high production costs and insufficient infrastructure for the development of innovative technologies in this area. To illustrate the effectiveness of government support, an example of the activity of the Active Component company is given. This example describes in detail the process of implementing support measures: from obtaining grants and tax benefits to introducing new technologies and expanding production capacities. Such a case demonstrates the real mechanisms of government policy implementation and their impact on the development of specific enterprises in the industry. In general, the article provides a comprehensive view of the state of the active pharmaceutical substances market in Russia in recent years and predicts its development in the near future.
