Assam, a state in northeastern India, has a particularly distinctive legacy of weaving and sericulture using the silkworms that are found there. Not only are the patterns and quality of our Assamese silk famous throughout India, but in the past few years, it has also gained immense popularity on the international market. Sustainable Development Practices have played a vital role in the growth and development of the Assam Silk Industry.
