The state should utilize regional media in the languages of Russia's ethnic groups as an effective instrument for implementing national language policy in the digital era. Government support for media producing native-language online content will significantly contribute to language preservation and development, while strengthening interethnic harmony and cultural-spiritual diversity in Russian society. This article expands upon the author's previous research on Yakut-language media consumption and the role of state national media in shaping digital content. The study examines the concept of «ethnic media» through the lens of its functions in maintaining ethnocultural foundations and preserving languages. It analyzes the positive impact of state-run Yakut-language media on linguistic processes in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). The successful experience of Yakutia's regional state media in implementing effective language policy could be replicated in other federal subjects. Recent sociological research on media consumption in Yakutia, along with media metrics (web analytics, TV ratings), confirms a strong demand for Yakut-language content. Particular attention should be paid to promoting native-language content in new media (social networks and messengers). The next developmental phase should involve creating artificial intelligence capable of recognizing speech in Russia's minority languages and generating texts and speech output.
