The major aim of the present empirical survey, conducted from the 28th December of 2019 to the 16th January of 2020, was to identify to which extent transformational traits appear in management style. The study’s sample was 151 primary school teachers of Larissa. A Jantzi and Leithwood questionnaire with closed-ended questions was used . It measured the following dimensions of transformational leadership: Idealized influence, Inspirational Motivation, Individualized consideration and Intellectual Stimulation. The survey findings indicate that transformational traits in principals’ leadership style is rather moderate, as teachers do not evaluate their principals very positively. It should be stressed that the participants evaluate more positively characteristics such as principal’s motivation for cooperation, the appreciation of their opinion and the focus on better school performance.
