The article reveals the potential of media pedagogy as a theoretical and methodological basis for the formation of critical thinking and communication ethics of students of humanitarian specialties. The need to integrate media educational practices into the modern educational process is emphasized in the context of the growing influence of the information environment on the consciousness of young people. It is substantiated that media pedagogy contributes to the development of the ability to critically analyze media texts, identify manipulative strategies, and form the skills of conscious information choice. It is shown that media pedagogical approaches allow the formation of value orientations of communication behavior, a culture of dialogue, and academic integrity. Practical forms of implementing media pedagogy in the educational environment are determined: interactive classes, analysis of current cases, creation of original media projects, implementation of interdisciplinary courses. The article is addressed to teachers, researchers, and graduate students working in the field of humanitarian education and digital pedagogy.
