The article examines the concept of “cultural dynamics”, focusing on the primary methods and approaches employed in its analysis within the cultural philosophical tradition of the XX–XXI centuries (specifically referenc-ing the works of L.N. Kogan, M.S. Kagan, and Yu.M. Lotman). The aim of the study is to elucidate the evolving understanding of cultural dynamics in modern philosophical discourse. It is emphasized that the domain of cultural-philosophical and anthropological inquiry concerning the description of cultural dynamics processes has witnessed a resurgence of activity. This has resulted in a more holistic and integrated comprehension of the concept of “cultural dynamics”. Furthermore, modern approaches to the interpretation of culture and its dy-namic nature are characterized by a pluralistic landscape, generating diverse and often idiosyncratic models and interpretations of cultural change. This inherent variety contributes to the ongoing, and often contentious, nature of the concept's explication, extending into axiological discourse and stimulating interdisciplinary inves-tigations into this critical problem. The study finds that the processes of modern cultural dynamics, partially as-sociated with complex intra-cultural shifts and discontinuities, have heightened the interest of philosophers and culturologists in the “problem of man” and their individual, personal manifestations in culture. It is posited that “man in culture” emerges as the “primary subject” of all socio-cultural transformations while simultaneously functioning as the direct object of multifaceted influences emanating from the surrounding “cultural environ-ment”. This duality underscores the complex and reciprocal relationship between the individual and the evolv-ing cultural context.
