Occupational Medicine (OM) education has historically been underrepresented in medical school curricula in Europe 6 and the United States 7. Although workers continue to experience new hazards, many poorly characterized, OM, dedicated to worker health, is at a tipping point. The specialty faces an existential threat. Exposing medical school students to OM so they can incorporate this knowledge into their future practice or appreciate OM as a veritable specialty choice can help mitigate this threat.
