The article analyzes the institutional and production-technical prerequisites for innovative and technological modernization of certain segments of the water management complex in Ukraine. The key problems of the water management complex are singled out, taking into account the crisis trends in certain sectors of industrial production, the chemical industry and the agro-industrial complex of Ukraine. Formed institutional prerequisites for additional groundwater in the process of capital reproduction, as well as incentive mechanisms and state subsidies for the development of centralized water supply in under-urbanized areas. This also applies to the creation of centralized water pipelines in places that are too far from the main cluster of settlements. Priority directions of innovative and technological modernization based on research of the main tendencies of attraction of water resources in economic circulation are determined.
