The article offers an analysis of the book by A. Kushner on the features of poetic thought and poetic structure. The study of A. Kushner, a poet and philologist, is characterized as a literary work and at the same time as an individual perception and experience of the lyrical text. The monograph consists of articles written in the seventies and eighties of the twentieth century, devoted to reflection on the work of Russian poets of the XIX-XX centuries. Today, they are not only not outdated, but are especially attractive in how Kushner the poet perceives, feels, and understands poetic creativity. and, more broadly, how art understands itself. The author precisely defines the essential features of the artistic world of Pushkin, Tyutchev, Akhmatova, Annensky and others, names especially significant features of their works. Tries to define the coming new era of poetry and a new view of man.
