The study results obtained by modeling the process of hot die forging in software products ANSYS, SIMULIA Abaqus FEA, HEXAGON Simufact Forming, Quantorform QForm are presented. The possibility of obtaining accurate results with standard default settings was investigated. The model is proposed as a reference one for conducting experimental verification of mathematical modeling tools. In order to confirm the validity of the finite element analysis, experimental die forging of a batch of finned samples made of AMg5 alloy was carried out under isothermal conditions.
