Introduction. The relevance of this study is determined by experimental findings on the ratio of training types in the training process of cadets engaged in the service and applied sport of “Overcoming an obstacle course with shooting”. Specifically, it focuses on the role of speed-strength training and endurance (both general and special). The pedagogical study examines the basic options, i.e. various types of training used for the physical development and athletic fitness of the cadets. The objective of the study was to conduct pedagogical research to determine the effective structure of the training process aimed at the comprehensive development of speed and strength training (speed, strength) and endurance of cadets engaged in the service and applied sport of “Overcoming an obstacle course with shooting”. Methods. Observation, testing, pedagogical experiment and methods of mathematical statistics were used in this study. The pedagogical experiment was conducted over the course of the academic year. At the beginning and the end of each academic semester, comprehensive testing was conducted to measure the physical fitness level of the cadets and to evaluate the effectiveness of the training program. The results. The training process, testing and test evaluation, as well as the subsequent analysis of the results obtained in the development of speed-strength training (speed, strength) and endurance of the cadets, made it possible to ascertain the most effective combination of different types of training that has the most positive effect on the physical development and athletic preparedness of cadets-sportsmen for competitions.
