Co-Editors Morgan Lewing and Becca Berkey introduce Volume 13 of the International Journal of Research on Service-Learning and Community Engagement during a period marked by renewed global attention to equity, community voice, and culturally grounded approaches to engagement. This issue reflects the expanding international scope and methodological diversity of the field, bringing together various theoretical frameworks, institutionalization processes, student transformation across diverse cultural and faith contexts, community-level outcomes, and global models of university–community partnership. In light of the 2025, International Association for Research on Service-Learning and Community Engagement global convening and the development of the Global Research Agenda, the articles in this volume highlight both emerging challenges and promising directions for service-learning and community engagement (SLCE) scholarship. Collectively, the contributions advance a vision of SLCE that is equity-centered, contextually responsive, and globally connected.
