art to a powerful educational tool through multimedia technology. This study examines the effectiveness of digital storytelling in improving students’ communication and narrative skills. It explores how creating, scripting, and presenting digital stories encourages self-expression, creativity, and language skills among learners. A quasi-experimental design was used, involving two groups of students — one exposed to digital storytelling activities and a control group taught through traditional methods. Pre-test and post-test scores on communication and storytelling skills were compared to measure progress. Data showed that students who participated in digital storytelling made significant improvements in vocabulary, idea organisation, emotional expression, and public speaking confidence. The use of images, voiceovers, music, and videos made learning more engaging and boosted understanding and audience awareness. The results indicate that digital storytelling is an effective, learner-centred approach that supports 21st-century skills like teamwork, critical thinking, and tech literacy. It is recommended that digital storytelling be incorporated into the curriculum to enhance students’ expressive and storytelling abilities. The study also points to the need for further research into its long-term effects on language education and communication teaching. Key word : Digital storytelling, multimedia pedagogy, student engagement, creativity, conceptual understanding, educational technology.
