This document is a letter from the California State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) to Vandenberg Space Force Base (VSFB) providing concurrence for the determination that archaeological site CA-SBA-3535/H is not eligible for listing on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). A previous letter from the SHPO requested additional information regarding the consultation with the Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians to ensure that they were afforded the opportunity to comment on the determination of non-eligibility. The letter states that the SHPO acknowledges receipt of documentation demonstrating that Tribes with potential cultural affiliation were notified of the Section 110 eligibility reevaluation and afforded an opportunity to review and comment on the proposed change in eligibility status. This notification included transmittal of the Section 110 evaluation to the Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians and subsequent email correspondence confirming receipt and awareness of the eligibility reevaluation. The letter reiterates each of the NRHP criterion hat were considered and ultimately provides SHPO concurrence with the determination that the site is not eligible for listing on the NRHP.
