Abstract

HIV/AIDS remains a significant public health issue in Eastern Congo, with limited access to comprehensive care and support. A cross-sectional survey design was employed using structured questionnaires administered through community outreach programmes. Home-based care significantly improved adherence to antiretroviral therapy (ART) with a 58% increase compared to baseline, and reduced opportunistic infections by 32% Conclusive evidence supports the efficacy of home-based care in promoting ART adherence and reducing health complications among HIV/AIDS survivors.
