Just under 300 symbiotic stars are currently known in the Galaxy. Population synthesis methods predict that this number should be 10–100 times higher. In recent years, several works have attempted to find symbiotic candidates in photometric surveys. Regular spectroscopic observations of these candidates can increase the number of known symbiotic systems. We aim to verify the symbiotic nature of 2MASS J21012803+4555377.
