Microfinance institutions (MFIs) play a significant role in empowering women entrepreneurs by providing financial support and education. A qualitative research approach was employed to gather insights from interviews with female entrepreneurs who have benefited from MFI services. The analysis revealed that approximately 70% of surveyed female entrepreneurs reported improved financial stability and business growth due to MFI support. Microfinance institutions significantly contribute to the empowerment of women entrepreneurs in Ethiopia, particularly through targeted financial assistance and capacity-building programmes. MFIs should continue to offer tailored services that address specific needs of female entrepreneurs, such as gender-specific training and mentorship opportunities.
