Gender disparities in educational attainment persist across Northern Nigeria, highlighting significant challenges for female students compared to their male counterparts. The research employs comparative analysis of data from the National Household Survey (NHS) conducted by the Federal Ministry of Education in . Data were analysed using statistical software to identify trends and differences between male and female students. Findings reveal a notable disparity with girls accounting for only 45% of secondary school completers, compared to 55% boys, despite equal enrollment at the primary level. The comparative study underscores persistent gender biases in educational opportunities within Northern Nigeria, necessitating targeted interventions and policy reforms to address these disparities effectively. Recommendation for policymakers includes implementing gender-sensitive curricula and providing scholarships specifically designed to support girls' education, thereby reducing dropout rates and improving completion rates.
