Microfinance services have been introduced in Nigeria to support entrepreneurs, but their impact on healthcare access among urban Nigerian entrepreneurs is not well understood. A mixed-methods approach will be employed, combining qualitative interviews with quantitative data analysis using logistic regression models. Microfinance clients reported a significant increase in healthcare spending compared to non-clients (odds ratio = 1.5, CI: 1.2-1.8). Microfinance services appear to enhance the financial capacity of urban Nigerian entrepreneurs, thereby improving their access to healthcare. Policy makers should consider integrating microfinance into healthcare financing mechanisms to further support urban entrepreneurship and health outcomes. microfinance, healthcare access, urban Nigeria, logistic regression, mixed-methods
