The Nigerian informal market is a significant economic sector where female entrepreneurs play a crucial role in employment and poverty reduction. However, their access to formal training opportunities remains limited. A mixed-methods approach was employed, including surveys and interviews, to gather data from participants in various vocational training programmes across different regions of Nigeria. Female entrepreneurs who participated in training programmes that emphasised skills relevant to their market niche experienced a higher success rate (85%) compared to those without such tailored support (60%). The findings suggest that targeted vocational training significantly boosts the entrepreneurial success rates of female entrepreneurs operating within Nigerian informal markets. Policy makers should consider implementing more tailored and region-specific vocational training programmes for female entrepreneurs in Nigeria's informal market.
