The study examines off-grid communities in Uganda to evaluate their energy systems and clinical outcomes. A difference-in-differences approach was used to measure the impact of off-grid community systems on clinical outcomes among Ugandan populations. The study analysed data from multiple communities before and after the implementation of these systems. The analysis revealed a significant improvement in the health indicators for those living in communities with off-grid energy systems compared to those without, indicating an effect size of approximately 15% on average. The difference-in-differences model successfully demonstrated the positive impact of off-grid community systems on clinical outcomes in Uganda. Communities should consider implementing off-grid energy solutions to improve health indicators.
