We present a novel and speculative at this stage theoretical framework, termed Microtubule-String Worldsheet Consciousness Mapping (MT-SWCM), that might carry the potential to unify the Orchestrated Objective Reduction (Orch-OR) model of consciousness with non-critical string theory. Consciousness-relevant microtubules (MTs) in neuronal networks are linearized into a single effective 1D “MT-string” whose transverse degrees of freedom encode quantum superpositions of tubulin states. Objective reduction (OR) events, driven by gravitational self-energy differences according to the Diósi-Penrose criterion, act as localized impulses on this string, generating propagating vibrational modes on its 2D worldsheet. These fluctuations are projected onto a 2D “consciousness surface,” where ripple frequency spectra and interference geometries are interpreted as an objective, visualizable map of phenomenal experience. The approach is directly inspired by string-theoretic visualizations in which 1D string excitations source spacetime curvature and graviton modes, and is grounded in prior formulations of MT dynamics as non-critical Liouville strings. We provide initial mathematical construction, phenomenological correspondences, simulation pipelines, and falsifiable predictions. MT-SWCM offers a geometric, quantum-gravity resolution to the binding problem, the hard problem of qualia, and the integration of consciousness with fundamental physics.
