Community health centres (CHCs) play a crucial role in healthcare delivery systems across South Africa, particularly in underserved regions. A mixed-methods approach was employed, including statistical analysis using regression models to assess cost-effectiveness indicators. CHCs demonstrated an average return on investment (ROI) of 1. 50 per unit cost spent, with significant reductions in healthcare costs for chronic diseases patients. The quasi-experimental design provided robust evidence supporting the efficiency and effectiveness of CHC systems in South Africa. Further research should explore scalability and sustainability strategies to enhance the impact of CHC services.
