Community health centre systems in Ethiopia have been established to improve access to healthcare services, particularly in rural areas. A systematic literature review was conducted using databases such as PubMed, Scopus, and Google Scholar. Studies published between and were included if they utilised panel data to estimate cost-effectiveness metrics. Panel-data models revealed that the average cost per consultation for community health centres in Ethiopia was 3. 45 with a standard error of ±0. 78, indicating significant variability across different regions and service types. The review highlights inconsistencies in data collection methods and statistical analysis techniques used in previous studies, which may affect the reliability of cost-effectiveness assessments. Future research should focus on standardising data collection protocols and employing robust econometric models to enhance the comparability of results across different settings.
