Assessment of the potential for the proposed development to affec t below-ground archaeolofical remains An archaeological evaluation trench was excavated in the location of the northern part of the proposed new building in 2007. Three pits and a linear feature, of medieval date, were revealed on the footprint of the proposed building. Construction of the proposed building has the potential to disturb any further below-ground archaeological remains which survive. Ground disturbance caused by the demolition of the extensions to the rear of 8 and 9, plus landscaping and the installation of new services also has the potential to disturb in-situ archaeological remains where the proposed works are deep enough to do so. The encounter of archaeological remains during groundworks is possible. From that recorded during the 2007 evaluation, it can be seen that there is no good evidence for any remains which are found to be considered important.
