Quasi-real Compton scattering, previously used in e^+e^- and e p collisions for luminosity measurements and detector calibration at PEP and HERA, is discussed for the energy range available at the construenda ϕ -factory DAFNE. We show that the very high rate expected at DAFNE makes this process particularly convenient for a contiuous calibration of the KLOE detector over the full angular range, directly from the data.
