Graduate education in Argentina has experienced sustained expansion since the 1990s, a trend that solidified in subsequent decades, leading to a transformation of program offerings and the need for appropriate regulatory frameworks. In the specific case of the distance learning modality, growth has been vigorous, though more recent, particularly driven by the COVID-19 pandemic. As part of a comparative study on distance graduate programs in the MERCOSUR region, which includes graduate programs in Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, and Uruguay, this article presents findings on the development, current status, and future challenges of distance graduate programs in Argentina.
