Post-conflict Eritrea is a case study for understanding business challenges and opportunities in African states emerging from conflict. A comparative study approach was employed, drawing on secondary data from official reports, interviews with business owners, and academic literature focused on post-conflict situations in Africa. Businesses operating in post-conflict Eritrea face significant challenges such as inconsistent regulatory frameworks (45%) and limited access to finance (28%). The study highlights the critical role of government support, inclusive policies, and community engagement in fostering sustainable business environments. Recommendations include advocating for improved legal frameworks, enhancing financial inclusion programmes, and promoting collaborative development initiatives among stakeholders.
