This study is required to understand the current status of Mokpo Port’s cargo volume and various changes due to changes such as the acceleration of Mokpo’s smart city development and the opening of a shipping route to China. Accordingly, the economic feasibility of establishing a logistics center in Mokpo Port was analyzed to maximize logistics efficiency, revitalize the local economy, and establish a sustainable logistics system. As a result of economic analysis, the break-even point was assumed to be 10 years, and the estimation conditions were assumed to be about 45.52 billion won in initial investment, about 4.347 billion won in initial operating cost, 5% in inflation, 8% in discount rate, and 10% in investment period. NPV was 0, and IRR was 8%. The expected effects of the economic feasibility study of the Mokpo Port Logistics Center project conducted through this paper are expected to be significant, including economic effects such as revitalization of the local economy and job creation, environmental effects due to the establishment of an eco-friendly logistics center, and social effects on the local community and industry.
