Maternal care facilities in Ghana play a crucial role in improving maternal health outcomes. However, inconsistencies in facility quality and effectiveness require rigorous assessment. A mixed-methods approach combining quantitative analysis with qualitative interviews was employed. Data were collected from multiple facilities, including hospital and community-based units. The analysis revealed significant variation in the quality of care provided by different types of maternal care facilities (e. g. , private vs. public hospitals). Our findings suggest that while some facilities offer high-quality care, others need substantial improvement to meet international standards. Policy recommendations include targeted training programmes for healthcare providers and the establishment of quality assurance mechanisms. Treatment effect was estimated with logit (pᵢ) =₀+^ Xᵢ, and uncertainty reported using confidence-interval based inference.
